School Code/Approval Number: NEREC does not issue school approval numbers.
Renewal Date: Brokers and Salespersons must renew their license by November 30th of each year. Licenses expire on December 31st of each year.
Hours required: 12 hours for the 2011 CE Period; 18 hours for the 2012 CE Period
Of the twelve (12) hours for the 2011 CE Period, three (3) hours must include one (1) of the following courses listed below.
Of the eighteen (18) hours for the 2012 CE Period, six (6) hours must include either broker-approved training OR you may meet the training requirement by taking the additional 6 hours in approved continuing education activities as seen in our catalog above. The Designated Subject matter course (R course) requirement is also changing this year. Since the NE REC does not have a firm date for this change they are suggesting that the licensees, whose education is due by November 30, 2012, take 6 hours in an R course to cover the change in the R requirement. See below for those six (6) hours:
CE Shop Offering: 12 hours for 2011 CE Period; 18 hours for 2012 CE Period
Seat time: The Nebraska Real Estate Commission requires that all students participating in distance (online) learning spend a minimum amount of seat time engaged in the course content. Our online real estate course delivery system manages this requirement for our students
Reporting: Real estate course completions are recorded with the Nebraska Real Estate Commission once a week on Wednesdays. It may take 2-4 business days from the time we report your hours before the Commission updates your license and/or updates their website with the hours.
Repeat course in back to back renewals: Please note that the Nebraska Real Estate Commission does not allow for duplication of CE elective courses within four (4) years. However, "R" (required) courses are an exception to this rule and may be duplicated in subsequent continuing education periods but NOT in the same continuing education period. If an elective (non-"R") course approval number is duplicated in a four (4) year period, CE credit will not be given for the duplicated course. It is the licensee's responsibility to ensure they are in compliance with this rule.
Expiration date of course: Courses expire one year after the order date.
Final Exams: Final exams must be passed with a 75% and may be taken as many times as necessary in order to pass.
Certificates: Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate(s) of Completion with your renewal.
Please enter your individual license number correctly and fully when prompted in the registration process.
